Sound Bath
Experience deep relaxation and harmonious balance with our curated sound bath events. Lay in a resting pose and feel the soothing vibrations of singing bowls, chimes, drums, vocals, and more. Through expertly guided breathing exercises and visualization, this therapy brings harmony to your entire being – mind, body (physical & energetic), and emotions. Research shows that sound therapy engages the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting a profound sense of calm and ease. In today’s busy world, our nervous systems are often in overdrive, leaving us feeling wired, tired, and overwhelmed. Let our sound bath events offer you a sweet antidote to these daily stresses, allowing you to pause, release, ground, and connect.
What to bring?
- Your own mat if you like, we do have mats available for a $1 cash donation
- Water bottle
- Your own props if you like, however the studio has bolsters and blankets for you to use as well
About the facilitator
Your facilitator is Miriam Lyon, Certified Sound Therapist, Reiki Teacher & Practitioner & trained Yoga Teacher (among other qualifications). Miriam weaves in teachings from these trainings and years of experience of calming her own nervous system. Her intention is for you to feel cared for, able to let things go, and to leave the experience feeling lighter and more grounded. Sound therapy has been shown to have many benefits, including improved sleep, reduced stress and anxiety, and an increased sense of well-being. You can find Miriam at Natural Route Health in the West End, where she offers 1:1 Sound Therapy & Reiki sessions, and in her downtown location, offering 1:1 session, small group Sound Baths and Reiki training courses.
Note:
Note: crystal singing bowls and other instruments used can potentially aggravate those with pace-makers, hearing-aids, or sensitivity to loud sounds.
